⚠️ This Privacy Policy is a tailored starting point and not legal advice. We recommend a licensed Ontario lawyer or privacy professional review it against your final data practices, including community ride and AI features, before launch.
Your privacy matters. This policy explains what Hire4Anything collects — including community ride coordination and optional AI tools — how we use and protect it, and your rights under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA).
Hire4Anything ("we", "us", "our") is a sole proprietorship registered in the Province of Ontario, Canada that operates the Hire4Anything task-marketplace platform. We are the organization responsible for the personal information we collect about you. This Privacy Policy explains what we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices you have, in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Ontario law.
For any privacy question or request, contact our privacy contact at support@hire4anything.com.
We collect only what we need to operate a safe, verified marketplace:
We do not collect task payments or ride fares, because those are arranged directly between users. We never process gas money or seat payments.
We use personal information to:
When AI features are enabled, we may send the text you provide (task titles, descriptions, ride routes, support questions) to Anthropic (Claude) to generate responses. We do not send your password, full payment details, or government ID images through these tools. AI outputs are suggestions only — you are responsible for reviewing accuracy before posting or acting on them.
Ride-related AI features (compose, safety checklist, gas-share estimates) are educational and do not constitute legal, insurance, or navigation advice.
For community ride posts, you provide general pickup and destination areas and a departure time. Exact street addresses and phone numbers remain hidden until the standard approve-and-unlock flow completes. We use ride route fields only to display listings and help users coordinate — not to track your vehicle in real time.
If you enable push notifications or share your city on your profile, we use that data as described in those features' settings.
We rely on your consent to collect, use, and disclose your personal information for the purposes described in this Policy, as well as on the performance of our contract with you and our legitimate interests in operating a secure platform and preventing fraud. You may withdraw consent (see "Your rights" below), though doing so may mean we can no longer provide parts of the service.
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run the Platform:
Some providers may process data outside Canada (for example in the United States). Where that happens, information may be subject to the laws of those jurisdictions, and we take steps intended to ensure a comparable level of protection.
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described here or as required by law. Account, task, ride, and appointment records are retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward for legal, security, and dispute-resolution purposes. Identity-verification results are retained only as long as needed for trust and legal obligations.
We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and reputable processors for sensitive verification. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and respond promptly to incidents.
Subject to applicable law, you may:
To exercise any of these rights, email support@hire4anything.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by law. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember preferences, and limited analytics to understand and improve usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect how the Platform works.
The Platform is intended only for individuals 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date and, where appropriate, notify you through the Platform. Please review it periodically.
